About the Presenters:

Mary Robinson

Mary Robinson, president & founder of Capacity Partners, understands how to help nonprofit organizations succeed.  She has helped hundreds of nonprofits—large and small—tackle tough challenges and achieve extraordinary results.  An expert in strategic planning and fundraising, Mary has led multi-million dollar divisions of national consulting firms, co-owned a fundraising software firm, managed product marketing at a major corporation, and served as a director of development. She is currently a board member of Leadership Montgomery and of The Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce.  Mary graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University prior to earning a master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Sara Watkins

Sara Watkins is a partner consultant at Capacity Partners.  A governance specialist, she provides strategic planning and board development services to client organizations. Sara serves on the Board of MedStar Health, Inc. and is the President and Chairman of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Capital Area Chapter Board. A veteran of the banking industry, Sara was executive vice president of the Corporate Services Group for Sandy Spring Bank where she led strategic planning. Sara graduated from Hood College with a BA in Human Resource Management and completed the Strategic Human Resource Program at the Harvard Business School.  Sara is a NACD Board Governance Fellow.
